This Privacy Notice explains how Moonshot ("Moonshot", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use MemeScan (the "Service"). Moonshot is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data: email address and login credentials.
- Usage data: watchlists, alerts, filters, and preferences you create in the app.
- Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, and telemetry needed for security and to operate the Service.
- Support data: messages you send us when requesting help.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Paddle, and are not stored by Moonshot.
2. How we use your data
- to create and manage your account (performance of a contract);
- to provide, maintain, and personalize the Service (performance of a contract);
- to secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests);
- to improve and develop our features (legitimate interests);
- to respond to your support requests (legitimate interests);
- to send service or marketing communications where permitted (consent or legitimate interests);
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share your data
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers / subprocessors that host our infrastructure and provide database, authentication, analytics, and support tooling;
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing;
- Professional advisers such as legal and accounting providers where necessary;
- Authorities where required by law.
4. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within one month. Where your personal data is transferred outside your country, including outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect your data.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We use essential cookies to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
